I think of how many soldiers must have passed through this area over the many years of Fort Andrews being an active base. If only the walls could speak.

The early morning light (along with the help of my strobe) shines through a doorway illuminating a staircase and room at the abandoned Fort Andrews Quartermasters building on Peddocks Island in Boston Harbor. A very eerie place when your the only soul around. The Quartermaster was the officer in charge of providing quarters, clothing, fuel, transportation, etc., for the body of troops at Fort Andrews.
